Specifically, a domain is the string that follows the www. portion in a browser's address bar or the @ portion of an e-mail address i.e. www.yourcompany.com or name@yourcompany.com.

To perform a domain name search, insert your desired website address without the 'www.' prefix into the domain search box above and choose your extension of choice. Our domain name search tool will then perform a domain search and you'll be given the choice of reserving your chosen domain for anywhere up to 5 years. You'll also be given the option of attaching a web hosting package to your domain which will allow you to upload your website to the internet and receives emails at personalised domain email addresses.

There are a number of reasons why registering more than one domain may be a worthwhile decision.

Firstly, by registering multiple domains similiar to your company name or relevant to your product offerings, you can protect yourself against those who may attempt to poach your clients. They do this by registering domains which are similar to your own or including your product names in their domain.

Secondly, potential clients often mistype or misspell names when inputting them into their browsers. For this reason, it's often worthwhile to look into common misspellings or typos of your domain and registering those to ensure maximum traffic reaches your website.
